Printer pauses3/6/2023 This is normal printer operation and is designed to prolong the life of the fuser while providing the best print quality. I thought that maybe re-installing the firmware might fix it but I heard that that is a risky process. When printing on heavy medias such as cardstock, the printer may pause for up to two minutes while the fuser recovers and allows the temperature to become even across the heat roller. My theory is that either there is a core problem with how Ultimaker Cura exports the G-code files or something is wrong with the printer software. Print different models at different settings.Print from Laptop via USB connection to Ultimaker Cura. This occurred a few times and every time the nozzle is melting the surrounding plastic and extruding a little which ruins the print. When they are ready for the second printing job, they can un-pause the printer and receive the labels that were previously sent. To be exact, it seems that after a few G-code commands have been executed the printer just freezes for like 10 seconds and then continues like nothing happened. Today I wanted to print something minor and the printer just randomly paused a few times in the middle of the print. I haven't used my Creality CR-10 for a few weeks, everything was working the last time I tried. Evidently if the router doesn’t correctly recognize the printer it will send signals that put the printer into paused or sleep mode.I thought I have already had and fixed every problem one could possibly have with a 3D printer. When I set the device to printer it solved the problem and it never paused again. I noticed that my Netgear router didn’t recognize the printer and classified it as an unknown device. I installed Netgear Genie and began looking through the various settings. Then I got the idea that maybe the problem wasn’t the printer but something in the router. I started to wonder if my new printer was broken and I needed to return it. Days went by and I couldn’t find an answer. I scoured help forums online and found other people with the same problem but nobody had posted an explanation or solution. I tried every setting on the printer, uninstalled and reinstalled the software and drivers but it didn’t stop my printer from going into paused mode by itself. Half of the time I tried to print I had to go into settings and “unpause” the printer before it would work. The printer worked but unfortunately it constantly put itself into “paused” mode. I purchased a Canon imageCLASS MF229dw printer, hooked it up to the router and installed the software. We used a Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 router to connect to the internet. Your last unknown device is probably your printer. Go through each icon and rename it as you determine which physical device it represents. Determine the IP addresses of your other devices and compare those numbers with the details screen of each icon. If you can’t determine the IP address of your physical printer you can also use the process of elimination and works backwards. When the IP address from your physical printer matches what is listed inside the details screen you’ve found your printer. Once you know your printer’s IP address click each icon on the Network Map and compare your IP to the IP address that is listed inside each details screen. It usually takes just 2 or 3 steps to determine the IP address of any device. Right-click the print job you want to pause, and then click Pause. If you don’t know how to determine your printer’s IP address search online for instructions. Sometimes this is obvious but if it’s not you’ll need to find out your printer’s IP address. Since then a 20 mm calibration cube has been printed (from USB) with no issues (paused briefly after printing the skirt), it was used in conjunction with M92 G-code command to. This was first noticed when printing a large and complicated model (from SD). Step 4: Determine which device on the Network Map screen represents your printer.
